And I'm Home!

posted Wednesday, 9 July 2008

I made it up--and perhaps more importantly--DOWN the mountain! Unfortunately I don't have the energy to tell you all about it just yet, but I wanted to report that I'm back home and more or less in one piece. One very sore piece!

Congratulations! It most certainly IS harder down than up. I believe it was a month or so after descending from Half Dome to the valley floor that I was able to get back on even an elliptical trainer, but I bet you're in better shape now than I was then. How many toenails do you think you'll lose? :)

i didn't trod any trails, mountain or otherwise, but I did walk most of this city, including the vast zoo and Sea World. We come back home tonight. *sigh*

Are your muscles recovered yet? And WTG for completing that hike!!

wre--my toenails are doing just fine--it's my actual toe that i'm worried about! not that i'll lose it, but it's still swollen. jay went for a hike today at white clay creek, but i haven't had the desire yet. i *might* ride my bike tomorrow, weather (and quadriceps) permitting. :)

nat--i LOVE san diego. did you do the duck boat thing that changes from being a tour bus into a boat and takes you around the harbor? that was so cool! the only bad thing about s.d. is the weather--it's too nice all the time. i need clouds and rain. ;-) p.s. my muscles are getting back to normal, but i'm still creaky when i crouch down and my one foot is tender. the first day and a half after we came down i walked like an old woman and could hardly do the stairs at all. it was sad!

all mp3s are for sampling purposes only. you like it? you buy it. you want me to take it down? let me know. and for the uninitiated, if you wish to listen to a song, click on the little blue arrows and they will stream. thanks, your host and music lover, mjrc.
